Grain Free Berry Cobbler

Here is a recipe for juicy, bubbly berry cobbler using cherries and blueberries. You’ll swoon at the smell and taste, but also just how beautifully crisp the top becomes, and how sweet and sticky the filling is!

Still, being a paleo cobbler it’s a healthier alternative than something store-bought or made with refined grains and refined sweeteners. And as always, no extra steps here- this paleo berry cobbler is easy and quick, despite there being 2 layers.

About the Paleo Cherry-Berry Cobbler

Can you use frozen berries?

I used frozen cherries and fresh blueberries! Doesn’t make a huge difference, in my opinion- use whatever you have on hand. This paleo berry cobbler will be very forgiving.

Does it need to be cherries and blueberries?

Not at all! I have a hard time checking strawberries and blackberries for bugs for kosher reasons, so I generally go for other berries when snacking/baking. But if you wanted to use them in this paleo berry cobbler, strawberry-blueberry would be a great combination, as would mixed berries, or even cherries alone!

Do you need to add sweetener to the berries?

To those who prefer a less-sweet bite, or who want to really minimize any extra carbs, I would say you can skip sweetening the berries. Cherries, especially, can be pretty sweet so I think especially if you’re using those, this paleo cobbler would be fine even without being sweetened.
